who can benefit from massage?

Hands on massage is tailored to your needs and, if relevant, I'll suggest exercise, stretches and bodywork to help you. One of the massage styles described below might appeal to you, but if you're unsure we can find what will best suit you during the consultation.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage combines Swedish and Sports massage techniques to release chronic muscle tension. Slower strokes with direct pressure applied across the grain of the muscles can:

  • 'breakdown' those knots or adhesions in the muscle fibres and stretch out tight muscle groups.
  • reduce repetitive-use injuries like tennis elbow.
  • improve postural aches and pains e.g. aching back and shoulders caused from years or even months sitting hunched at a desk.
  • help you experience shorter recovery times between fitness and exercise sessions increasing the effectiveness of your training.
Holistic Massage

Holistic Massage combines Swedish massage with Reiki - perfect if you want to completely unwind and often recommended as part of a regular program for stress management.

It soothes and relaxes tired minds and bodies and applies pressure along the grain of the muscles working towards the heart to improve circulatory flow.

It also stimulates the skin and nervous system while relaxing the nerves themselves. Combined with Reiki level 1 & 2, it provides a perfect 'time out'.

I found it so relaxing I made it a regular appointment once a month and in the latter stages, of my pregnancy, found it invaluable...

Sara Hancock - Wandsworth Common

I find Claire's technique to be highly effective in not only easing back and neck tension, but she also offers really sound and very useful advice...

What is Reiki?

Reiki means "universal life-force energy," and as a Reiki practitioner I become a channeler of this universal energy. A full treatment follows a traditional pattern of hand positions resting on the body without pressure. Reiki is pure energy, and brings about deep relaxation and healing.

Having a serious lower back problem, I appreciate that Claire works with me to find the right techniques and pressure...

Or, be a fantastic way to just simply treat yourself!
